Welcome!
Hi, I'm Kristen. I’m a Webby Award-winning podcast producer, writer, host, and multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles with over a decade of experience in podcasting and over two decades experience as an actor. I have a passion for telling meaningful and engaging stories that uplift underrepresented voices, highlight diverse experiences, and ultimately bring people together.

Podcasting
After fifteen years in education, I followed my passion into podcasting by creating, co-hosting, and producing the independent podcast, Your Fave is Problematic. That led to a production fellowship at Maximum Fun, working primarily on the NPR pop culture interview show, Bullseye with Jesse Thorn.Since then, I've had the pleasure to co-develop and lead produce shows for many clients. I co-developed and led production of a podcast series about the cultural impact of The Godfather for Paramount Pictures, which won two Webby Awards. I also co-developed, Lead Produced, and wrote the Webby-winning social justice podcast, Beyond Voting for The Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership at Kalamazoo College. I had the privilege of creating and producing a pilot for American Public Media – a show called Movements, which explored the erased histories of pivotal Black social justice movements. And I worked as a co-producer on Wondery’s Webby-Award-winning series The Grand Scheme: Snatching Sinatra, where I provided editorial and cultural sensitivity feedback on scripts and guidance to my junior colleagues. My experiences have allowed me to work collaboratively with students, mentees, creative partners, A-list guests, respected activists, and peers to create work that meaningfully represents the very best of our collective efforts, and I welcome the opportunity to continue doing that kind of meaningful work.
Audiobook Narration
"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive." - James Baldwin
I bring over 20 years experience as a trained actor, theatre artist, and director to the world of audiobooks. Some of my favorite genres to read are historical and political non-fiction- especially histories of marginalized people and stories of resistance from around the world, political science and theory, memoir, middle grades, anything classic film, music, and pop culture related, and romance. I'm comfortable with Standard American, Southern US/ Texan, English, and Irish accents.

Acting
Theatre is my first love. I have a BA in Theatre (Acting emphasis) from St. Edwards University and decades of experience working in the theatre as an actor, singer, sound designer, costume designer, and director.Want to catch me on stage? I'm currently performing in The Meeting by Brian James Polak for 2025's Hollywood Fringe Festival.
